    Job Summary

    The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is actively seeking a dynamic individual to join the Minnesota Sex Offender Program within the Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) Division of the agency. As the Marketing and Sales Coordinator, you will play a key role in advancing the mission of the Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) by providing leadership and expertise in program development and management in the area of Minnesota State Industries. Minnesota State Industries contracts with other state agencies to offer products and services at a reduced cost, completed by clients of MSOP involved in vocational programming. This position provides technical assistance and guidance to agencies, current and potential customers, and vocational staff within our diverse business units.

    Job duties may include:
    • Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional working relationships with staff, partners, and clients.
    • Administer to the customers of Minnesota State Industries in the design, production, and implementation of products/services from Minnesota State Industries
    • Provide technical assistance and design sign plans compliant with ADA standards for commercial and government buildings as required by law.
    • Provide expert direction, documentation, and information to customers in the design and development of new projects, products or service options Minnesota State Industries can provide.
    • Represent Minnesota State Industries local municipalities, other state agencies and private corporations to ensure relevant policies and relationships are established and maintained.
    • Develop, implement, and direct the monitoring of tracking processes for review with management to show business unit performance, market development and client vocational placement goals are met.
    This position will require travel up to 50% of the time to our Minnesota Sex Offender Program sites; including, Moose Lake and St. Peter

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
    • Three (3) years of experience in developing strategic sales plans and goals with demonstrated skills in analyzing market and business data and identifying market trends and sales strategies.
    Additional required experience includes:
    • Experience developing new business and sales with demonstrated skills in designing outreach and special events programs and sales packages for varied target audiences
    • Experience developing effective marketing strategies and demonstrated skills in creating marketing promotional materials
    • Written and oral communication skills sufficient to create and edit materials such as memos, presentations, marketing materials, etc., and clearly present ideas to varied audiences
    • Computer software skills in word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, and other business software applications sufficient to collect, query and analyze data and prepare reports and presentations for varied audiences
    • Developing and implementing financial reporting systems
    • Valid current Minnesota Driver's class D license
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Coordination of multiple projects simultaneously
    • Experience establishing a network of relationships with local community leaders and influencers
    • Collecting and preparing data, analyzing, and organizing program activity from the data
    • Serving as project lead
    • Bachelor's degree in sales and marketing
