- Lead and collaborate with virtual teams onsite and remotely defining and implementing computing solutions in the Cloud, on-prem, and hybrid.
- Assist in development and implementation of security guard-rails practice and initiatives at all levels of the Cloud infrastructure.
- Act as second level engineering and applications support for incidents, understanding technical interdependencies for end-to-end problem solving, engaging third party tier-1 support organizations, as well as application teams and Cloud services and SaaS providers for troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Manage Cloud hosted environments, including production, staging, testing, and development environments.
- Develop and build novel systems/frameworks and workflows to meet users' changing needs
- Communicate progress and participate in reviews with technical staff and senior management.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience.
- Proven experience as a Linux System Admin
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a High Performance Compute (HPC) environment
- Experiencing administering and integrating Scientific / Research applications.
- Demonstrated experience in scripting and coding: bash, awk, perl python
- Solid time-management skills; able to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Prior experience working in the Life Sciences realm.
- Experience prioritizing multiple projects and work streams in a fast-paced environment

Job Description
RCH is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support the full life cycle of scientific software from test, installation, patching, and configuration locally and remotely across multiple regions. The Linux Systems Administrator will provide technical knowledge on tasks or technology assignments and lead communication and collaboration with the technical leadership team while maintaining best practices for managing systems and services. The ideal candidate would be able to collaborate with other groups and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes and provide input on ways to improve the environment's stability, security, efficiency, and scalability.
