Commercial Truck Driver – Class A CDL Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator

Summary: The Commercial Driver – Vacuum/Pneumatic Operator has a dual role of a Class A driver and a Vacuum/Pneumatic Operator. As a Commercial driver (CDL A), this position ensures the safe and efficient operation of tractor-trailer, box truck, or semi-truck(s) interstate and/or intrastate to various customer locations. At customer sites, the Commercial Driver-Vacuum/Pneumatic Operator will handle hoses and equipment setup, operation, and disconnection at different locations. Responsibilities include connecting hoses, operating continuous flow equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and building positive customer relationships.

Requirements/Experience:

Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
Must have a valid TWIC card.
Minimum one (1) year of experience driving an 18-wheeler tractor/trailer.
Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Airbrake endorsements.
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) from all licensed states.
Minimum 21 years of age.
Pass pre-employment checks, DOT certifications, and drug/alcohol tests.
Proficient in operating manual and automatic transmissions.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Legal authorization to work in the USA.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Drive intrastate and interstate routes according to schedules.
Conduct safety checks and inspections as per DOT regulations.
Report incidents, safety issues, and follow KPIs.
Operate tractor/trailer, pick up/deliver merchandise.
Maintain vehicle, perform preventive maintenance.
Ensure proper loading/securing of freight.
Complete paperwork accurately and legibly.
Unload goods and process necessary paperwork.
Keep tractor/trailer clean and organized.
Safely load/unload materials using appropriate equipment.
Comply with safety procedures and waste disposal regulations.
Perform assigned duties efficiently.

Physical Demands:

Handling freight weighing 40-100 pounds.
Physical tasks include sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and lifting.
