SUMMARY
Blue Sky is currently seeking a Cleared Data Scientist to join our team
The ideal candidate will
collaborate with existing staff to provide and maintain infrastructure and tools that can be used to
deliver end-to-end solutions to big data and analytical problem sets
The Data Scientist will
develop knowledge of processes and coordinate with various parts of the command as necessary.
They will collaborate with other data scientists to ensure efforts are in sync and optimized to
integrate with "decision advantage" tools and displays
Additionally, the Data Scientist will
collaborate with other experts in their fields within and outside of the DoD to leverage their
expertise enabling better products

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role shall provide types of support to our customers:

• Provide, maintain, and analyze infrastructure and tools that can be used to deliver end-to- end solutions to USTRANSCOM/J2's big data and analytical problem sets
• Design new or integrate existing tool(s) and databases to automatically ingest, sort, tag, and organize various data sources and types according to a schema, methodology, or ontology
• Data mine using applied mathematical formula(s) and/or regression analysis to determine the best variables and their appropriate weight for supporting predictive analysis
• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
• Provide expertise/ assistance in identifying and integrating applicable technologies and/or methodologies from government or commercially available sources to address intelligence need(s)
• Identify novel approaches to discerning patterns and correlations between disparate data sources used to answer intelligence need(s)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance
• Experience with data analytics, data mining, machine learning, and statistical modeling
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
• Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ,
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America
