Job summary
The Law Clerk supports DOJ OPA operations by processing incoming clemency petitions and correspondence, requesting and extracting Bureau of Prisons (BOP) reports, updating the IQ electronic case management system, and maintaining accurate electronic and paper case files.Responsibilities
- Screen, review, analyze, and sort incoming mail and correspondence (electronic and hardcopy). Electronically request BOP reports and extract required information to populate fields in IQ. Scan, prep, unitize, and file commutation and pardon petitions.
- Process scanned petitions for upload to IQ and to the shared network drive.
- Perform issue coding and structured data entry in IQ.
