Position Summary:
This position is for a CNA to work as a Rehab Aide, assisting the acute care therapists in the performance of their therapeutic interventions.
The MMC Rehab Team consists of a dynamic team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists who provide their professional consultations to patients admitted to the hospital.
The office and supply rooms are on the 5 th floor of the Meridian hospital, but the Rehab Aide will assist therapists working on all floorsTasks include, but are not limited to:
patient care, patient handling, preparing patient rooms for therapy sessions, preparing trays for speech therapy studies, providing hands-on assistance for the therapists during therapy sessions, stocking, inventory, and infection prevention tasks.
Responsibilities + Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
+ Documents information in patient record. + Performs various direct patient care activities under direction of licensed patient care provider. + Communicates information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care. + Assists physicians and other nursing staff members with procedures as appropriate.+ Performs tasks and procedures as ordered by the physician or licensed provider consistent with approved protocols, policies, and procedures.
+ Performs tasks that require a unique body of knowledge and skills for that area of service. + Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
