MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education Graduation from an accredited college university Bachelor degree Experience Three years experience in natural cultural resource management interpretation education general maintenance public safety promotions marketing qualifications one year experience supervisor team leader NOTE Experience may have occurred concurrently Licensure Must posses valid State drivers license ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS Education Texas Parks Wildlife Department TPWD employees hired prior to January 1 1998 with no break service minimum sixty semester hours earned may substitute two years TPWD experience in park management supervision operations required degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education Graduation from accredited college university Bachelor degree in Park Administration Recreation Parks Wildlife Fisheries Science Natural Cultural Resource Management Forestry Biology Anthropology Archeology History Experience Two years customer service experience Experience park manager Experience revenue budget management KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES Knowledge phases park administration operations Knowledge public relations ability develop beneficial relationships promotional partnerships volunteer groups outside agencies organizations Knowledge natural cultural resource management practices Skill using MS Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Skill effective verbal written communication Skill personnel management effectively supervise employees maintain foster team environment Skill conflict resolution customer service procedures Skill making independent sound timely decisions Ability resolve conflicts solve problems increase productivity harmonious team oriented work environment Ability develop marketing promotional activities special events Ability maintain flexibility frequent interruptions multiple changing priorities Ability complete correspondence reports presentations special assignments Ability handle complaints emergencies stressful situations large groups people.
