    Description
    • Position : MRI Technologist
    • Type : Contract
    • Location : Queens, NY (Long Island City)
    • Local Hourly Pay : $55
    • Travel Weekly Pay : $2,200

    Schedules: 5x8 shifts with rotating weekends

    • 8am - 4:30pm
    • 12am - 8:30am

    Summary : The MRI Technologist performs medically prescribed MRI procedures of designated anatomical areas under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for all aspects of MR imaging, accurately and in accordance with established procedures and policies in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in patients of all groups.
    • Follow all regulatory guidelines and MRI safety precautions, working with the MRSO and MRMD. Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations.
    • Contributes to total patient care by accessing pertinent patient information, processes images, assures correct images, accurate billing and file documentation, records information related to exams into department computer system.
    • Performs other activities in support of clinical team members when not engaged in imaging activities.
