- Develop an account retention and sales growth plan.
- Build strong, value-added business partnerships with customers.
- Identify customer requirements and present products, services, and programs to meet their needs.
- Secure contractual opportunities and increase sales through collaboration with product managers and inside sales associates.
- Regularly follow up and monitor customer satisfaction on the quality of products, services, and delivery performance.
- Prepare itineraries, call logs, expense reports and update customer account information.
- Assist the credit department with accounts receivable and collections activities.
- Consult with marketing on promotional initiatives.
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner in all business and social settings.
- Continually develop sales skills and acquire knowledge on new products, services, equipment, industry intel, and business trends.
- Attend association meetings and trade show events to promote products and services through networking.
- Selectively entertain customers and administer budget proportionally based on account status, sales volume, profit, and overall sales potential. Requirements:
- College degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum (5) years of experience directly related to the duties of the position or previous inside sales experience in the metals industry.
- Proven success in account management or inside sales.
- Experience directly related to the duties of the position.
- Strong command of the English language with effective platform and communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Professional presentation.
- Valid driver's license with clean MVR; must operate a company vehicle approximately 70% of the time and do so safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
