    Job Description:


    Collaborates with district-wide (K-12) schools, alternative programs, and Student Assistance Department leadership teams to reduce at-risk indicators in Douglas County School District.

    Assists sites in the development of effective intervention strategies to reduce at-risk variables in all age groups increasing district compliance to statutory requirements.

    Develops and promotes good community relations among various district and community clientele.

    Requires some travel around district using personal vehicle.


    MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:

    • BA/BS in education, mental health, counseling, sociology, or related humanities field.

    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Occasional lifting five (5) to ten (10) pounds
    • Frequent sitting
    • Occasional bending, squatting, or standing

    Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

    Responsibilities:
    Utilize data to monitor differentiated plans.

    Collaborate with students, parents and schools to assist with student engagement and transition back into the school environment.


    Track outcome data on targeted students and programming; interpret and record results and maintain accurate data, records, and case management files to document all activities conducted and services provided for progress monitoring and grant writing purposes.


    Identify and process student/family referrals to appropriate educational, social, and other support services in the DCSD community for students and families.


    Work closely with community-based and juvenile justice partners to ensure student success and be an integral member of the DCSD Student Assistance and alternative education team.

    Willingness and expertise to lead collaborative, community-based meetings for DCSD as needed.

    Work and collaborate effectively with teachers and other school-based personnel to identify students who are at-risk.

    Develop and promote exceptional community relations with various district and community clientele.

    Capability to function as an independent, self-motivated, and self-reliant self-starter who initiates appropriate actions and strategies and can work successfully without constant direction and close supervision

    Be a positive contributing member of the Student Assistance Department and Student Assistance Strategic Planning Team.


    Assist sites in the development of effective intervention strategies to reduce student at-risk behaviors of all age groups increasing district compliance to statutory requirements.


    Collaborate with district-wide schools, alternative programs, and Student Assistance Leadership teams to reduce student at-risk behavior in Douglas County School District.

    Monitor the school performance of targeted at-risk students in the areas of academic achievement, attendance, and behavior.

    Minimum Hire Rate:
    $74,703.81 USD Annual


    Maximum Hire Rate:
    $93,379.00 USD Annual


    Full Salary Range:
    $74,703.81 USD - $112,055.71 USD Annual


    • All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
