- Manage the premium services conversion rate of patients.
- Provide pre-op and postoperative counseling to patients.
- Schedule appointments for patients and physicians using a computerized system.
- Interact with patients, physicians, and staff, providing accurate information.
- Coordinate paperwork for physician and facility requirements.
- Ensure necessary medical clearances are obtained before surgery.
- Communicate with referring providers and ensure compliance with post-operative visits.
- Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure all supplies are ready for surgery.
- Assist with various tasks such as patient follow-ups, training sessions, etc.
- AA/BA/BS degree or relevant work experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgery Coordinator, preferably in ophthalmology.
- Experience with EMR software and patient customer service.
- Knowledge of insurance plans, Excel, Word, and medical software.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Must be able to travel and multi-task efficiently.
- Adherence to policies, standards, and HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and exercise judgment effectively.
