Job summary
Under limited supervision manages plans organizes and directs procurement activities for supplies and equipment to all areas of assignment ensures that necessary equipment materials and supplies are available to areas of the hospital and organization in an accurate timely manner mentors trains other staff manages staff when needed monitors inventory to ensure accurate PAR counts correct reorder points helps with recalls will audit for expired products analyzes procurement problems identifies solutions implements changes provides leadership direction guidance in procurement for areas of assignment assures compliance with regulatory hospital procedural standards evaluates assures quality standards are being met provides leadership direction guidance assigned staff develops goals priorities conjunction employees assigns tasks projects develops staff skills training plans counsels trains coaches subordinate staff maintains confidentiality patient records procedures performs supervises department specific duties troubleshoots medical supply issues ensures supplies equipment instruments ordered restocked retrieved prepared transported division conducts inventory supplies restocks assembles specialty carts surgical trays cleans equipment according schedules coordinates pick up shipment materials equipment destination follows tracks shipment products timely delivery destination completes hazardous materials documents accompany shipments assures safety security work environment items shipped operates motorized vehicles equipment pickup delivery materials equipment secures freight safety procedures performs routine maintenance same ensures proper working condition tracking maintenance log sheet completes Quality Assurance Required Departmental Reports updates forms count sheets department performs duties assigned
