The Quality Process Engineer assists in creating, implementing, and optimizing quality programs, equipment, processes, products, and the inspection of materials while providing leadership, supervision and oversight to local quality projects and team members in the North Carolina facility.
This role will provide value in not only process audits and evaluating current processes but also help bring to life the ideas of Paragon by managing tasks and projects that will enable our quality department to continue to improve and evolve.
The Quality Process Engineer plays a vital role in furthering the quality initiative of Paragon Films. This position works within established company guidelines and policies.RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists in developing and implementing quality program to ensure raw materials and finished goods meet all quality standards, continually monitors effectiveness and accuracy, provides suggestions for improving and continuous growth of programRecommends and assists in integrating new technology into existing environments within the plantAssists in recommending and developing procedures and processes that optimize and drive consistency into all aspects of manufacturing process; assists in developing corrective actions using process/quality data and test resultsRevises and update control manuals as needed; assists, directs and conducts key training programs for critical process procedureMonitors routine quality test effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvement, assists in research, design and implementation of test methods and equipment to ensure most effective methods and equipment are being usedFosters a collaborative relationship with production as well as vendors and customers to discuss and resolve process and quality related issuesAccurately prepares all necessary reports for various departments, customers and leadership, provides analytical analysis of data and provides ideas for continuous improvementPrepares and analyzes quality reports as needed for internal and external purposes, provides recommendations for corrective actions based on report findingsAssists with organizing and conducting experiments for product development and collecting relevant process, quality, and testing dataAssists with the collection, storage, and maintenance of process and quality data and systems used to collect the dataAnalyzes data and processes within returns system to develop process settings and or procedures within the Returns system to correct issuesProvide leadership, mentorship and direction to Lab Tech from a managerial perspective, staying up to date on labor laws internal policies and procedures, cultural expectationsRequirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITYStrong technical aptitude with ability to apply technical concepts and theories to manufacturing processDemonstrated knowledge of basic manufacturing processes with work measurement and work standardsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsAbility to perform and utilize statistical analysis to interpret data, provide insight and feedback, ability to perform root cause analysisDemonstrated analytical ability in relation to project management, resolution of problemsAbility to successfully communicate with external customers to build long term, lasting relationshipsProven ability to successfully work in a collaborate relationship with multiple departmentsDemonstrated project management skillsNegotiation and conflict management skills together with demonstrated experience troubleshooting and problem solvingOrganized, motivated self-starter, with ability to prioritize tasksHigh level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilityStrong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, strong presentation skills including technical writing and above average documentation skillsAdvanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, WordThe ability to adapt to fast paced; rapid changes, with ability to juggle multiple tasks and handle unexpected delays or events all while maintaining constant attention to detailPractice and promote teamwork and servant leadership style within the organizationHigh level of dependability regarding attendance and punctualityStrong understanding of stretch filmEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Engineering; preferably in Packaging, Industrial or Polymers EngineeringPREFERRED REQUIREMENTSFive (5) or more years experience within a process engineering capacityPrevious management related experienceAbility to understand mechanics of machineryExperience with MS Power

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions but could be exposed to warmer temperature environments such as a warehouse or production floor.

Requires adherence to deadlines and project completion deadlines with ability to travel 30% of the time.
