    The Project Engineer is responsible for the design and execution of major projects, working closely with the production, procurement, packaging engineering and R&D teams to ensure the implementation of industrial processes and equipment in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.


    Job Skills:
    Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook; to create pivot tables, schedule and keep track of meetings, etc.
    Strong attention to detail
    Experienced in conducting engineering studies
    Very task-oriented
    Self-starter
    Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills


    Job Responsibilities:
    Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:
    Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
    Conduct engineering studies to understand current capabilities in house
    Source, evaluate and recommend top OEMs for new equipment installs.
    Provide support to all plants for machine safety upgrades and machine training.
    Supports design and install of capital projects at all facilities
    Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; collaborating with equipment vendors
    Partner with Quality team to support packaging material issues with vendors and equipment OEMs
    Provide operations team with support on existing equipment as SME and bridge to OEMs
    All other duties as assigned


    Education:
    BS/BA in Engineering (or equivalent experience)

    Sr.

    Director, Manufacturing & Engineering

    Working Location:
    Gurnee, Illinois

    Schedule: 45

    hours a week

    Employment Status:
    Full Time

    Travel Required:
    Yes (25% - 50%)
