SummaryA summer internship position available for someone with strong interest in the research in the Gribble lab. The intern will conduct research on aging and maternal effects using rotifers as a model system. The intern will work directly with Gribble lab researchers to assist with experimental design, data collection, and data analysis in accordance with the goals of the specific project. The intern will be responsible for the preparation of written and oral reports at the end of the internship.
The Intern has the overall responsibilities:
Currently working towards a B.S. or B.A. with an emphasis in biology.
Experience with basic laboratory techniques and a strong commitment to expanding knowledge and research experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimal exposure to biohazardous chemicals. Occasional lifting of heavy objects (<30 pounds). Ability to perform repetitive motions and strong manual dexterity.
