Holiday Locum Assignment:

Adult Hospitalist Physician We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Adult Hospitalist Physician for a brief, high-impact locum tenens assignment near Asheville, NC.

This is a chance to provide comprehensive inpatient care in a supportive, low-volume critical access setting over the holiday period.

Schedule Coverage Dates:
December 24, 2025, through December 26, 2025.

Shift Time:
Day Shifts (7:00 AM ??? 7:00 PM). Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to admitted patients, managing their inpatient stay from admission to discharge. Evaluate patients in the Emergency Department for potential admission. Perform interpretations of EKG and ABG results. Respond to Code Blue and other hospital emergency situations.


Facility Details Patient Volume:
Low volume with an average inpatient census of 12???15 patients


Admissions:
Average of 5???6 admissions per day


ICU:
NO ICU responsibilities required


EHR System:
EPIC EMR in use. Requirements Must hold a valid North Carolina State Medical License (Implicit). Must hold a valid North Carolina DEA license. ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required. Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital medicine experience preferred.
