Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. We're looking for an overnight or early morning bakery to focus on proofing and baking a wide range of pastries, croissants, muffins, cookies and more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
• Follow recipes and ensure that all products are made to the highest quality standards
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

Skills

• Culinary skills: Strong knowledge of baking techniques and methods
• Food handling: Ability to handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene practices
• Food preparation: Experience in measuring ingredients, mixing doughs, and preparing fillings or toppings
• Cooking skills: Familiarity with using ovens, mixers, and other baking equipment
• Restaurant experience: Previous experience working in a bakery or restaurant setting is preferred
• Knowledge of the food industry: Understanding of industry trends and customer preferences
• Food production: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Kitchen organization: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knife skills: Proficiency in using knives for cutting, slicing, and shaping doughs
