    Job Description:

    The Assumption Specialist I plays an important role in the organization by performing several activities related to the company's Assumption function. The role is primarily responsible for assisting the department with the daily mail, phone calls, emails, application data entry in our loan production software system to ensure all tasks are handled within compliance timeline requirements.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Receive assumption applications, review for completeness, date stamp, and upload it to imaging system.
    • Perform data entry by inputting application data into loan production software application within compliance timeline.
    •Assist Assumption Specialist II/III to mail out initial loan package and disclosures within requirements.
    • Order and inspect for completeness on required documents: Credit report, VOEs, SSA-89, title report.
    • Process Name Change inquiries/requests by utilizing appropriate letter template based on specific investor type and requirements.
    • Prepare correspondence using templates to request missing document(s), confirm receipt of information, etc.
    • Answering Assumptions Email box and Assumptions Department phone line within timeline.
    • Track and send original and executed Loan Assumption Agreements to the custodian bank within timeline.
    • Follow procedures to ensure compliance with internal business standards and applicable federal, state, local or other regulatory disclosures and requirements.
    • Provide support as needed with audits and to department members.
    • Perform other duties as assigned
