    Community Assistant Manager Position at Edgewood Management Corporation

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Create initial and annual recertification for all residents while ensuring full compliance with HUD Affordable Housing PB section 8

    Key Duties:

    • Maintain property waiting list across 3 scattered sites
    • Review and approve move-in certifications and conduct quarterly reviews of annual re-certifications
    • Coordinate on-site data collection and resident information processing
    • Schedule and conduct resident recertification interviews
    • Ensure accurate calculation of income, assets, and rent levels
    • Assist in accounts receivables and payables management
    • Coordinate apartment inspections and maintenance requests
    • Provide excellent customer service to residents
    • Maintain resident files per company and regulatory policies
    • Support office staff with various tasks including rent collection and social activities
    • Assist with administrative and leasing responsibilities
    • Handle any other emerging duties

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience in property management
    • Knowledge of income certifications and re-certifications for Project Base Section 8 programs
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
    • Experience with accounts receivable and collections
    • Experience working with senior adults
    • 2+ years of recertification experience or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Occupancy Specialist)
    • Attention to detail and capability to work autonomously
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Property Management Software, and Internet usage
