    Welding & Fabrication Director

    Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance, Vacation, Sick, Paid Holidays, 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match, Tuition Assistance and much more As a Regional Director Welding & Fabrication, you will lead the region's team of Welding Specialists.

    You will provide direct support to the region and the Welding Specialists, and be the subject matter expertise in the area of welding processes, welding quality, welding Applications, and the economics of welding and automation.

    Serve as a highly proficient technical Airgas Sales Representative with prospects and existing local and national customers.
    Drive the Airgas advanced fabrication sales methodology and provide support and assistance to Airgas customers.

    Coordinate Airgas automation departmental resources for the region and be familiar with flexible, fixed automation applications and CNC cutting systems.

    Make customer sales calls and provide product and application training. Answer customer inquiries and satisfactorily resolve customer complaints.
    Provide information and training concerning Airgas Shielding Gasses including ARCAL, weld products and services to region sales teams.
    Oversee welding training programs for Region Associates including but not limited to Welding 101, Gases 101
    Must be willing and able to travel overnight within the region 40-50% of the time.

    Oversee selection, training and development of a team of Regional Weld Specialists
    Direct the region Weld Specialist team on the proficient application of Airgas business development tools, achievement of sales goals, and providing effortless customer experience

    Must have minimum of 10 years of experience in the Welding Industry
    Associate Degree Welding (AAS), Military Weld training or Bachelor's degree (Engineering) from a four-year college or university
    TQM, Lean, or Six Sigma background preferred.

    Must have a broad knowledge of the welding, cutting and fabrication processes common to the Airgas customer base including but not limited to:

    Manual, semi-automated and automated welding processes.
    Shielding gas applications
    Basic shop equipment used for punching, forming, bending, or rolling of both plate and structural components.
    Knowledge of welding and power equipment from many different suppliers.
    Knowledge of bulk gas facilities and distribution through manifolds, mixers and piping systems.

    Must be able to apply mathematical formulas that quantify the costs associated with the processes so analysis and comparisons may be created.

    Ability to be flexible and able to "shift gears" in the face of interrupted schedules, canceled appointments and unfulfilled promises.

    Must be proficient with computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
