Sr. Analyst (Bedding) - Onsite: Tampa, FL

What Will You Do?

The Sr Analyst, Bedding will play an integral role in optimizing our Bedding Assortment by providing in-depth analysis and recommendations to enhance the product lineup, including Mattresses, Bases, and Bedding Accessories (pillows, protectors, sheets). This role requires a candidate with strong analytical capabilities to dissect market trends, consumer behavior, sales data, and competitor strategies using various data sources. The Sr Analyst will be pivotal in identifying product assortment gaps, advising on merchandising strategies, and fostering data-driven decision-making processes to maximize the performance of our bedding category across all sales channels. This position is located in Tampa, FL and requires on-site presence

Primary Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed performance dashboards for the bedding assortment using Power BI, integrating both internal and external data sources.
- Evaluate sales, market, and consumer behavior data related to the bedding category to discern trends and generate actionable insights.
- Formulate data-supported recommendations to fill product assortment gaps and enhance the depth and breadth of the bedding category, including Mattresses, Bases, and Accessories.
- Assess and report on the sales performance of the bedding products in both retail store locations and ecommerce platforms, pinpointing areas for optimization within the assortment and merchandising tactics.
- Analyze various bedding market segments to support strategic product placement and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including vendors, data engineers, marketing, and product development, to aggregate additional data insights.

Job Qualifications

•5-7+ years of experience in Finance, Data Science/Analytics within Furniture, Manufacturing, Bedding, preferred

•Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science/ Analytics, or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required

•MBA or Masters Degree in Analytics/ Data Science, or related field, Preferred

•2-4 years of finance, advanced analytics capabilities, Required

•Exceptional business acumen

•Strong knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting

•Strong knowledge of SQL or other database software

•Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

•Analytical and problem solving skills

•Maintain confidentiality

•Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement

•Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints

•Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internet

•Strong skills in agility, along with the ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities changes on short notice

•Perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment

•Work professionally with customers and co-workers to efficiently serve our customers, treating both with enthusiasm and respect

•Display empathy, understanding and patience with employees and external customers

•Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries
