- Motivate and guide your team of technicians, fostering a safe and collaborative work environment
- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure your team has the skills they need to excel
- Conduct performance evaluations to continuously improve the team's effectiveness
- Develop and implement strategic maintenance plans to guarantee uninterrupted operation of the plant
- Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance during downtime, minimizing disruption
- Oversee all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on boilers, turbines, pumps, and other critical equipment
- Manage a comprehensive inventory of spare parts, tools, and materials to avoid delays or shortages
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for future reference and analysis
- Generate reports on maintenance performance and equipment reliability to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate in developing the maintenance department's budget
- Manage expenses within budgetary constraints to maximize cost-effectiveness
- 5+ years experience in a supervisory role within a solid-fuel power plant
- Proven track record of implementing and optimizing preventive maintenance programs
- Strong understanding of power plant equipment, including boilers, turbines, pumps, and related systems
- Experience with CMMS system
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- A passion for safety and a commitment to regulatory compliance
