- Collaborate with customers to understand their industrial processes through on-site or virtual meetings
- Assist customers in prioritizing safety upgrades
- Support senior staff in designing safety solutions focusing on industry standards and client-specific requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of industrial controls/safety experience
- Familiarity with OSHA and safety standards (ISO, ANSI, etc.)
- Knowledge of safety projects lifecycle and certifications like TUV FS Tech
- Understanding of safety standards such as ISO 13849, ANSI B11, NFPA 79
- Proficiency in industrial controls, design, troubleshooting
- Experience with Siemens, Rockwell, Pilz safety hardware/software

Our client is in need of an Electrical Controls Engineer with 3-5 years of experience who is enthusiastic about industrial machine safety. As a Controls Engineer/Safety Services Engineer, you will offer advice on functional safety controls and best practices to customers. The role heavily relies on understanding machine controls and potential hazards.
If you are passionate about safety, eager to learn, and dedicated to ensuring people go home with all their fingers and toes, this entry-level position is perfect for you. Your main focus as a Functional Safety Engineer will involve professional correspondence with customers, helping them identify and mitigate risks related to their industrial machinery. Your goal will be to develop safety solutions that minimize risks to an acceptable level.
As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will work across various industries such as automotive, food and beverage, consumer goods, robotics, and more.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
More responsibilities include lockout/tagout audits, risk assessments, safety training, and project management to ensure timely completion within budget.
