    Austin Commercialis currently seeking a Safety Manager for an $800 Million Healthcare project in Houston, TX .We set the standard for commercial construction and were looking for talented construction professionals to join us.

We Own ItManages the site safety program on assigned project.

    Educates and trains Austin Commercial project staff in federal, state, and local laws, ensuring compliance with the companys current safety manual, policies and expectations.


    Responsibilities:


    Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representativesCreates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documentsProvides and participates in staff safety training and subcontractor development; possesses strong presentation skillsRepresents company in a positive and professional manner with owner and subcontractorsCreates and facilitates safety training on a variety of subjects that align with particular project schedulesBuilds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.)Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned regionEnsures compliance with the companys current safety manual, policies and expectations.


    Requirements:


    7+ years of building construction safety experience with at least 3 years of field experienceA 4 year degree in a safety-related disciplineAuthorized OSHA 500 TrainerOSHA 10 and 30 CertifiedAt least 4 hours of training in the following topics: Fall ProtectionScaffoldingExcavationConfined SpaceCrane/Equipment OperationsElectricalIncident InvestigationCurrent on CPR and First Aid and AED certificationsSWPP knowledgeAdvanced knowledge of construction processes and proceduresProficient in relevant softwareOutstanding communication and negotiation abilities; has the ability to have effective crucial conversationsManages time and resource allocation appropriatelyBenefits & CompensationWe offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, and a matching 401K plan.
