    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Ultrasound Technologist will perform and interpret urological ultrasounds through GLA division's offices. This is a traveling position.

    What you will be doing
    • Operation of ultrasound equipment to capture optimal images for various urologic ultrasound exams which include abdominal, renal, pelvic, scrotal, TRUS ultrasounds.
    • Evaluate ultrasound exam results to identify expected and unexpected outcomes given the procedure plan as well as whether appropriate test guidelines and protocols were followed
    • Report and summarize technical inferences and clinical findings
    • Helping patients prepare for the procedure by explaining the process, helping them to move to the table, and preparing the skin surface by applying gel before using the equipment
    • Communicate effectively with the patient and maintain his/her comfort level during the examination
    What you will bring to the team
    • Must have at least 2 years of Ultrasound experience, urology experience preferred
    • Must be comfortable with various ultrasound machines
    • ARDMS AB certification Required.
    • Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed
    • Ability to evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the physician
