DT Operator/ProgrammerThis position is responsible for the set-up, programming/editing and operation of Diamond Turning machines. Knowledge of aspheric measurement, and testing methods using Zygo ZeGage, Saavy Scratch Dig Inspector, and Zygo Verifire IR Interferometer. A lead contributor, on a department team, in the fabrication of IR diamond turned optics at the component level. Supervise Diamond Turning department and staff. Develop efficient processes within the department and improve existing production processes. In general, work is to be performed in support of 'Spectral Systems' Quality Statement'.

Knowledge of IR materialsExperience in the set-up, programming/editing and operation of DT machinesPerform machine maintenance and repairs as requiredKnowledge of spherical/aspheric metrology testing methods and equipmentFollow ISO procedures and methodsDirects and provides Training to the Operator/TechnicianUnderstands CNC programming and can create/and or modify CNC programs.

Operate and understand optical test equipment such as interferometers and surface profilometersDocument processes and work instructions for diamond turning operationOperate traditional inspection equipment such as micrometers, height gages and calipersAbility to read and understand both optical and traditional mechanical drawingsQualification:

S degree in Engineering and/or 5 years related experienceRequired: 4 year degree/5+ years' work experience or 2 year degree 5+years as a Diamond Turning ProgrammerAdvanced print reading skills-ability to read and comprehend all fabrication specs NC Programming Skills

• Knowledge of G Codes and M Codes and MasterCamMetrology Skills-Profilometer Experience, Zygo testing, set up and operation Preferred: Under graduate degree in engineering, chemistry or physics from a certified college or university.
