- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio is required.
- Certification: Certification as a hemopheresis practitioner through ASCP preferred.?? CNN (Certified Nephrology Nurse) or CDN (Certified Dialysis Nurse) preferred.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association is required.
- Years of experience: Minimum of 3 years??? experience in pediatric nursing or apheresis/dialysis specific nursing in an adult or pediatric setting.?? Experience with peripheral and central line IV accession is required.
- Years of experience in supervising: Leadership experience is preferred.

Summary:
Apheresis Role: Responsible for assembly and operation, according to institutional/FDA/AABB protocols, of the apheresis machine and related equipment as indicated for hospital patients and is responsible for assistance in the provision of 24-hour, year-round call coverage whenever stem cell collection, erythrocytaphersis, leukopheresis, or plasmapheresis is required. Also assists the bone marrow transplant team with thawing of stem cells
Dialysis Role: Responsible for assembly and operation of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, including cycler and manual (CAPD, CCPD), according to institutional protocols and in adherence with CMS and ODH guidelines.?? Responsible for liposorber pheresis and provision of 24-hour, year-round call coverage whenever dialysis treatment is required.
