    Job Summary

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    •Screen, identify, assess, and develop recommendations in the areas of articulation, phonology, oral motor, semantics, syntax, pragmatics, voice fluency, and augmentative/alternative communication for pupils with communicative disorders.

    •Utilize appropriate diagnostic assessment procedures, following professional guidelines, to thoroughly and accurately diagnose communicative disorders using both formal and informal assessment measures

    •Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEP)

    •Develops goals and objectives, provides collaboration, consultation, and direct service to meet individual needs as determined by the IEP team

    •Collaborate and participate in IEP meetings, Student Study Team (SST) meetings, and conferences as appropriate

    •Provide an educational environment which establishes, maintains, and reinforces appropriate pupil behavior, attitudes, and social skills

    •Communicate clearly and effectively with others, both orally and in writing

    •Research and utilize new information regarding intervention/treatment techniques methods, assessment materials to enhance pupil educational opportunities and outcomes

    •Provide and utilize appropriate and effective speech and language assessment procedures and therapy experiences for pupils from a wide range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds

    •Monitor and supervise speech and language aides, assistants, student teachers, interns, Clinical Fellows as needed

    •Promotes and maintains pupil records and documentation and confidentiality

    •Establishes and maintains a suitable, inviting, and stimulating learning environment

    Requirements / Qualifications

    Valid CA Clinical or Rehabilitative Services: LSH or Speech Language Pathology: LSH credential

    Will consider candidate who is in a Communication Disorders & Sciences Master's program
