    Minimum qualifications:

    • A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communicative Sciences and Disorders
    • Holds or is eligible for CA SLP state license
    • Holds the ASHA CCC in SLP with practice experience in the areas of early intervention, clinical phonetics and/or speech sound disorders
    • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching
    • Must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively in an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community that serves the students of the region.
    • Per the California State University's Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • A doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology/Communicative Sciences and Disorders
    • Experience teaching and or supervising students at the university level
    • Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching, research and/or service.
    Salary commensurate with degree level and experience


    • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,083 - $6,786 per full-time month

    Visiting Faculty appointments are full-time appointments for up to one (1) academic year.

    Individuals appointed into this classification are not eligible for a subsequent appointment in the Visiting Faculty classification but are eligible to apply for other Faculty positions at CSUSM.
