    Required Qualifications:
    7+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field3+ years experience operating large scale production network

    Other Requirements:
    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

    These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
    This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

    Preferred Qualifications:
    3+ years experience on cloud scale network design/architecture on Data Center, Wide Area Network (WAN) and EdgeFamiliar with memory access protocols such as Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), RDMA over Converged Ethernet v2 (RoCEv2)


    Familiar with queueing theory and congestion controlHold professional networking certification (example Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE), etc...)



    Familiar with different networking technologies:
    network device hardware architecture, optical technologies, etc...

    Familiar with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and different routing protocols:

    Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Intermediate System to Intermediate System (IS-IS), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Segment Routing, etc...Good understanding of merchant silicons and their capabilitiesComfortable writing codeCloud Network Engineering IC- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S.

    is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year.

    There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
