    Neonatal Advanced Practitioner


    Under limited supervision, is responsible for the clinical management of assigned neonates in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit and Intermediate Care Nursery, and is responsible, under supervision, for stand-by at risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation in the Labor and Delivery Room.

    # # Education Certified Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Experience #At least two years of experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU Skills ######### A high level of analytical ability is required in order to assess patients and implement appropriate intervention.

    ######### Substantial interpersonal and verbal communication skills required to effectively interact with staff, physicians, patients, and family members.

    Licensures, Certifications ######### Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ######### Heart saver (CPR Certification).

    Physical Requirements ######### Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail in performing duties and dealing with patients and families, often during stressful situations.# Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

    Working Conditions ######### Normal patient care environment ######### Frequently exposed to adverse working conditions due to performance of certain patient care activities.

    Exposure to communicable disease. #
