    Position Vacancy Announcement

    Florida A&M University and the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the OPS Program Assistant vacancy.

    Responsibilities
    Provides day-to-day administrative and fiscal operations of the ASTERIX project in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department. Primary job functions include accounting, purchasing, travel, scheduling, report-writing, and event planning activities related to the project.

    Event planning activities may include planning technical meetings, working with graduate students and other student participants, and planning professional development activities.

    The OPS Program Assistant must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to work effectively with other staff, students, faculty and external sponsors associated with the project.

    Minimum Qualifications

    A high school diploma or equivalency and four years of related experience; or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years' experience.

    Pay Plan
    This is an Other Personnel Support (OPS)/Temporary position.

    An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment.
