    Job DescriptionSalary:

    We have a client that is looking for a part-time (up to 30 hours/week) Senior Staff Accountant for their construction office in Justice, Illinois Established in 1989, this growing Specialty Construction Subcontractor provides custom commercial and industrial solutions to customer base in the Chicagoland area.

    This part-time Senior Staff Accountant will manage financials and accounting staff to ensure data integrity to help achieve Company financial goals. Following an accepted job offer a drug screen and physical, confidentiality agreement, and background check apply.

    Benefits: 30 hours PTO (sick) year, eligible after 180 days

    Schedule: Weekdays only, fixed schedule with flexibility

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Update and Create Customer Credit Files
    • Process Payroll, Taxes, Union Reports
    • Collections-Lien Filings
    • Financial Statement Review
    • Preparation of Annual Budget
    • Month end and year end closing
    • Account reconciliation and analysis
    • Generate reports for management
    • Train/Supervise AR/AP staff and comfortable self performing tasks
    • Tax reports
    • Arrange audits and reviews (union/insurance/IRS)
    • Inventory methods and monitoring
    • Certified Payroll
    • Other duties as assigned by management

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or Finance required
    • Minimum 2-4 years progressive Construction Accounting/Finance Experience required
    • Management experience of at least two (2) employees required
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
    • Experience with Acumatica software or comparable experience preferred
    • Two (2) years Inventory recording and analysis experience preferred
