Meade area.The Software Engineer (SWE) develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Develop and support the GUI interface into the EMMGOTS developed applications include:
Addition to FOSS messaging tools to run in the SIGINT environment, GUI to display metric/monitoring status and do common queries, Command line tools to interact with Accumulo, Oracle stored procedures, Maintenance scripts to facilitate normal cluster functions (e.g.
table splits, compactions, mergers, Local/HDFS directory cleanup, etc), Java Multi-threaded applicationsDevelop and maintain software in the development environmentUse configuration management tool and repositories (i.e.
Maven, Eclipse, GIT, Redmine)Support Multi-threaded applicationsRequired Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph- 8 years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
Experience in one (1) or more of the following ten (10):Public Key Enabling (PKE); RESTful services and containers (Oracle WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat), Java programming language, Perl programing language , Java EE, Secure web (SSL) and file encryption, LDAP (RedHat directory)
Java, Linux (CentOS), Modern IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, etc.), Agile Scrum process- 4 year's experience programming in the Linux, Unix or Windows operating system environment- 4 year's experience writing/maintaining software in Java or GoLang language- 2 years' experience with the Spring Framework1 year experience providing/using restful interfaces- 4 years' experience using software development configuration management tools (such as GIT, CVS)1 -2 years' experience with test harness software such as Junit or FITCWIP Requirements:
IAM Level I Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with SIGINT security rulesOne (1) year experience with the SIGINT environment
