    Job Details/Responsibilities

    Human Resources (HR) Intern will provide operational and tactical support to the HR Business Partner team. In addition, will participate in special projects and work on assignments that are sensitive and confidential in nature. HR intern will have the opportunity to gain practical HR experience, business knowledge and develop skills that involve independent judgment, initiative, and time management. At the end of the internship, the HR Intern will prepare and present a final presentation to the leadership team on work project(s) and learnings.

    Job Responsibilities (continued)

  • Partner with HR colleagues on assigned programs and initiatives designed to attract, retain, and engage associates.
  • Collaborate across the HR function to evaluate, develop and/or reengineer processes to drive greater operational efficiencies.
  • Develop HR compliance knowledge, including knowledge of applicable HR laws and regulations, and communicate to HR team new developments in employment practices as it pertains to Terumo HR related polices and processes.
  • Develop a working knowledge of HR Information Systems (HRIS) and ability to create, update and maintain reports, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with associate engagement initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Assist HR Business Partner team with day-to-day operational needs.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • May have other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals at a variety of levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher and Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize and provide deliverables within the required timeframe.
  • Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude, and work with a team as well as an individual contributor, in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Qualifications/ Background Experiences

  • Must be a current undergraduate student, preferably in Human Resources Management, Labor Study, Employment Relations, or Communications.
  • Strong desire to work in the field of Human Resources post-graduation.
