    Description

    Job Summary

    Provides clinical pharmacy services throughout the hospital, supporting staff in surgery satellite and central pharmacy distribution areas as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
    • Reviews, interprets, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems.
    • Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
    • Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
    • Oversees and coordinates Pharmacy Technician activities as needed to ensure maintenance of a smooth workflow and all service standards are met.
    • Models and helps maintain a professional atmosphere in the Pharmacy.
    • Applies interpersonal skills and techniques to de-escalate and/or resolve conflicts between team members.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy required upon hire.
    • No experience required.
    • R.Ph. - Licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire.
