    Actalent is currently hiring Mechanical Designers in the Kansas City area. Qualified candidates must possess hands on skills with high level mechanical/technical problem solving abilities. Working experience with SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor is required. This is a great opportunity with a family owned company looking to add to their culture of creativity and hard work

    Description:
    Responsible for designing and building new products which includes product design, prototyping, enhancements, and testing.

    Also responsible for breaking down current products to core components and figuring out how to improve the assembly and performance.

    Design and build prototypes using SolidWorks.
    Cost the bill of materials for new and improved products.
    Build new and update existing product specifications. Determine means of manufacturing of new products.
    Review and enhance current product lineup.
    Assist in maintaining and enhancing machinery.

    Mechanical engineering, Mechanical design, SolidWorks, New product development, GD&T

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:
    A.S. in CADD or related field with 3+ years of working experience.
    B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field with some experience.
    Ability to work hands on with engineering and manufacturing operations.
