    Instrumentation QC Technician

    1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm with a 30 minute lunch OR 8:00am-4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch

    Located Downtown Lansing

    $20.00-$23.00/hour


    The primary responsibility of this role, Instrument QC Technician, is for routine testing of Safety instrumentation to ensure compliance with specified performance standards.


    Instrumentation QC Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Performs routine testing on testing equipment to ensure they meet quality standards
    • Performs calibration of instrumentation
    • Ensures quality product is returned to customers after repairs
    • Compiles detailed quality paperwork
    • Ensures that CRM and ERP system entries for Instrumentation department repairs are properly updated and cases are closed in timely manner
    • Adheres to GLP/ISO guidelines in daily activities

    Instrumentation QC Technician Skills and Competencies:

    • Technical Skills: Comprehensive understanding of instrumentation function and how it affects reagent performance.
    • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and other procedural documents in English.
    • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a solid knowledge of computers and OS systems. Experience with ERP and CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite are also required.
    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform routine mathematical operations including some basic statistical analysis (percentage, averages, etc.).
    Instrumentation QC Technician Education and Experience

    • Minimum HS diploma, associate degree QC-related fields preferred.
    • Experience in quality assurance testing is needed.
    • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit.
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
