    Hiring for: Insurance Verification Specialist

    Type of role: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm)

    Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

We are made up of licensed clinicians (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCA, LMSW, MFTA) who provide an array of services, including individual, family, and group counseling.     As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will be part of our insurance verification team. Your duties will be focused on obtaining accurate benefit insurance for new patients in the practice. Understanding billing terminology is critical and experience obtaining insurance information in a medical office is strongly preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Complete commercial insurance verifications and re-verifications
    • Create new weekly intake reports and progress note reports for management
    • Make calls to clients about billing information or to collect outstanding balances
    • Assist clinicians with processing payments
    • Work with billing to collect balances owed, create client statements, update payment methods on file in TherapyNotes
    • Act as a backup to our APRN Administrative Coordinator and front desk teams, assisting with scheduling appointments as needed

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Efficient expertise in organization, good problem solving and attention to detail
    • A love for working with people
    • Strong computer skills and experience with Google Workspace
    • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to uphold the highest standards
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment when needed

    Benefits:

    Eligible to participate in health and dental/vision insurance at the start of the 1st of the month after your first 30 days with the company.

    • 2 weeks of PTO per year, accruing at 3.08 hours accrued per pay period
