Job Description
The Perinatal Registered nurse provides services in all area settings; Triage, Antepartum, Labor, Delivery, and Recovery. Performs assessments based on the patient's presentation, medical condition and care needs.
Utilizes the nursing process to plan, perform, delegate and evaluate the delivery of nursing care in the Perinatal Services department.
The Registered Nurse provides mentoring, and guidance to Clinical RNs new to the Perinatal Services department and is engaged in department orientation and skills training and testing.
Other duties include interdisciplinary team involvement, committees, program evaluation, research, education and the supervision of students. Performs duties within the scope of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and established organizational and regulatory requirements.Minimum Requirements:
