Description

SAIC is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, SC in support of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) Main Propulsion Unit (MPU) Module Design/Demonstrator.

contractThere are numerous drawings associated with the PPTT program that requires a dedicated Configuration Management Specialist in order to assist the Engineering team with maintaining document status throughout the release process, putting together Technical Data Packages for delivery to the Customer, and working alongside EIF to identify tools the program needs to integrate engineering tools used on the program with the corporate toolset.

QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of experienceIn-depth knowledge and practical experience implementing the principles outlined in SAE EAI-649 and MIL-HDBK-61Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Configuration Management Plan (CMP) that aligns with industry standards and project requirementsDefine and implement configuration identification processes including naming, labeling, and tracking of configuration items throughout their lifecycleLeverage Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database, such as Aras Innovator, to implement and track changes effectivelyFacilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings to ensure effective collaboration among cross-functional teams to properly implement changeEstablish and manage configuration baselines, ensuring they accurately represent the approved state of configuration items throughout the project lifecycleImplement and manage Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) processes to document the current state of configuration itemsOversee configuration verification and audit activities to verify compliance with approved designMust be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearanceSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline
