    Job Summary:


    The Revenue Analyst II is a technical expert with strong analytical experience in a healthcare environment with emphasis in managed care and government reimbursement.

    This role serves as a financial resource for both clinical and administrative areas and will act as a lead analyst on

    projects.


    As part of the Finance Revenue team, this position will support Managed Care Contracting for contract modeling and revenue impact analysis in support of negotiations, helping to identify underpayments, and tracking profitability within our managed care contracts.


    This position will also prepare analyses related to the financial impact of Medicare and MediCal changes in reimbursement in order to identify financial and or operational impacts to revenue.


    As part of other ongoing responsibilities, the position will support the Revenue Finance Team with ad hoc revenue impact analysis related to items such as payer mix, acuity, reimbursement, and volume.


    The incumbent will also own and maintain specific recurring reporting related to month end close and provide support in the development of each year s Operating Revenue Budget.


    The individual projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct and supports the department and organization s mission and vision.

    Willing and capable to work independently and in a team environment is essential.

    Task lists management; accomplishing quality results on

    me in a high demand environment are required.

    The position will act as a financial resource for leadership across all business units.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    2-3 years

    experience as an analyst in a healthcare environment with emphasis on managed care reporting and reimbursement.

    General understanding of DRG and CPT/HCPC Medical Coding and Medical Terminology.

    Strong understanding of Managed Care and Government reimbursement methodologies.

    General knowledge of hospital operations (

    Revenue Cycle:
    Registration, Patient Accounting/Billing, data processing).

    Understanding of Accounting Principles and Hospital Financial Reporting.


    Required Education:
    Bachelor s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or healthcare administration.
