    Description

    Overview

    Come work with a great team Signet Health manages the behavioral health services for Medstar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC) and has a part-time opening for a Human Resources Generalist.

    The Human Resources (HR) Generalist provides administrative support to the HR Department and will be responsible for maintaining spreadsheets, filing, on-boarding new hires, processing employee requests, benefits, enforcing company and hospital policies and other projects as assigned.



    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to date human resource files, records, and documentation and maintains the integrity and confidentiality of the HR department.
  • Creates and edits documents i.e., memorandum, letters, internal postings, agendas, spreadsheets, charts and presentations.
  • Meets with new employees to go over paperwork and other on-boarding documentation.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors and refers complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Provides an overview of company benefits to new employees upon hire and during open enrollment.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
  • Assists with employee engagement activities and other organizational wide meetings, by coordinating with vendors, placing orders and sending out announcements.
  • Performs other generalist duties as assigned.

    • Requirements/Qualifications

    Minimum of 2 years of experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and display excellent oral/written communication skills. Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and the ability to proficiently use Microsoft office products i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
