    The Security Data Analyst, a key product development team member, is critical in ensuring the security and compliance of the commercial financial services software we provide to our customers.

    This role involves analyzing and interpreting data related to security incidents, threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements within the product development context.

    The Security Data Analyst collaborates with various teams to develop and implement data-driven security strategies, focusing on our commercial software's confidentiality, integrity, and availability, directly impacting the security and reliability of our customer offerings.


    What you'll be responsible for:

    Security Requirement Definition:


    Collaborate with product development groups to define and maintain security non-functional requirements for our software products, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

    Provide guidance and advisory support to the development team on security topics during the software development lifecycle.

    Data Analysis:


    Analyze and interpret security-related data, including logs, vulnerability reports, and compliance assessments, to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in our software products.


    Threat Assessment:


    Continuously monitor security threats and vulnerabilities, keeping abreast of the latest trends and emerging risks that may impact the credit union industry.


    Compliance:


    Ensure that our software solutions adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance standards, including but not limited to data privacy regulations and financial industry requirements.


    Collaborative Consultation:


    Act as a security consultant to various stakeholders, including development teams, customers, and support organizations, offering guidance and recommendations to enhance security measures.


    Incident Response:


    Assist in developing and maintaining internal company incident response plans and contribute to investigating and resolving security incidents when they occur.


    Security Awareness:
    Promote security awareness and best practices among internal teams and customers, fostering a security-conscious culture.

    Security Testing:


    Collaborate with quality assurance and testing teams to ensure that security testing is integrated into the development lifecycle, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.


    Documentation:
    Maintain comprehensive documentation of security-related processes, procedures, and findings to support compliance efforts and continuous improvement.
    May perform other job duties as assigned.

    What you'll need to have:
    Bachelor's degree. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
    Minimum of 4 year's experience in data analysis and data-driven decision-making within information security and compliance.

    What would be nice for you to have:
    Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards, especially those relevant to the financial services sector.
    Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies.
    Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) systems and security data analytics tools.
    Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a dynamic and evolving security landscape.
