Title:
Ophthalmic Technician – Optometry/Ophthalmology
Schedule: 1 Saturday shift per month (rotation), 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Requirements:
- 1 year of clinical ophthalmic/optometry experience
- Optos experience
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Greet and schedule patients, ensuring a positive experience.
- Perform diagnostic testing including visual fields, OCT, fundus photography, keratometry/topography, Ascans, Schirmer, and applanation tonometry.
- Administer topical and diagnostic drops as ordered.
- Assist with office procedures, minor surgeries, and intravitreal injections as needed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient charting and documentation.
- Provide patient education on procedures and care.
Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 80 hours
- Drug screens and background checks may be required.
- Confirm with the account manager regarding COVID19 and flu vaccination requirements.
