Responsibilities

• The Global Secure Communications GSC Technician III demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments
• Applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts practices and procedures for the particular area of specialization
• Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's business practices and issues Provide operations maintenance support to multiple tactical land mobile radio systems Acts as subject matter expert on networking other communications equipment providers e.g. Harris Exelis Kenwood equipment provide O amp M support Proficient in communications surveys new installations preventative maintenance vehicle fixed-site systems COMSEC management frequency management training depot-level repair radios Develops conducts training U.S Government personnel private contractors proper use care maintenance preventative maintenance assigned systems WHAT YOU 'LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technical radio expertise along with drive innovation GDIT The Electronics Technician Maintenance III must have Education: Associates Arts/Associates Science Experience Minimum 5 years technical related experience field coordination technical support modern communication systems Technical skills A minimum 2 years hands-on work experience type 1 encrypted radios Experience with COMSEC policies procedures Possess knowledge RF theory principle effects operating electronic countermeasures environment Excellent technical RF Communications VHF/UHF/SATCOM/Radio specify RF communication equipment compatible CREW systems Security clearance level Must current Top Secret security clearance US citizenship required Role requirements Position self-motivation ability effectively minimal supervision Demonstrate ability interact all levels organization professional diplomatic tactful manner Demonstrate good attitude ability work member cohesive team Multitask efficiently fast-paced environment multiple projects strong attention detail Possess excellent writing verbal skills Proficient Microsoft Windows operating office automation software e.g., Microsoft Office SharePoint Travel Requirements May travel OCONUS conduct installation training maintenance diplomatic facilities OCONUS travel include critical threat locations world austere living conditions Domestic travel may require training program coordination Preferred Qualifications Successful candidate typically possesses 5–8 years successful experience communications field demonstrate key responsibilities knowledge Physical Requirements Works concrete shop floors positions inside vehicles cramped awkward positions Moves equipment weighing up to pounds across around shop floors Uses screwdrivers pliers wrenches hand power tools Frequently works warehouses buildings vehicles hot cold drafty poorly lighted Occasionally works outdoors types terrain weather conditions Occasionally ascends descends radiocommunication towers install fix equipment
