The Sr.
Business Development Manager will lead the development of new partnerships for TerraCycle's Brand Partnerships team by initiating and maintaining a dialogue around TerraCycle's offerings with marketing and sustainability stakeholders across industries and brands.
Brand partnerships enable TerraCycle to collect and recycle products and packaging that typically aren't recycled.We create and develop sustainability-focused marketing programs in collaboration with some of the most recognizable brands and companies in the world (Colgate-Palmolive, BIC, Staples, Burt's Bees, Brita, Carters, Swiffer and many more) as well as hundreds of smaller, independent organizations.
Primary ResponsibilitiesBuild and effectively maintain a healthy, balanced sales pipeline
Develop an overall strategic account plan in conjunction with leadership and rest of B2C team to meet organizational goals
Create, lead and own client presentations and deals
Research, evaluate and communicate potential new brand partners and business development opportunities in the North American market
Develop client specific presentations and pitches
Secure new business development partnerships
Manage company and client expectations
Work with new partners on pricing & finalization of contracts
Support senior leadership, as appropriate, in realizing business development opportunities
Requirements
Desired Qualifications
3-5 years pertinent sales, business development, professional services, and/or consultancy work experience
Experience working in the CPG or other professional service industries (i.e. advertising, key account management, consulting, accounting, law), a plus
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Word and experience using CRM systems
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Excellent research, writing and communication skills
Exceptional presentation skills
Project management, attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to analyze data and translate results into continuous improvement
Ability to communicate, present andinfluenceall levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
Ability to work well in fast paced environment with multiple projects
