    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a technical field and / or five years of government aviation proposal writing / editing experience.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position will be responsible for creating and submitting compliant proposals to the Department of Defense and other government agencies, and / or commercial customers in the aviation industry. This position requires excellent writing skills, attention to detail and a strong understanding of the government solicitation process. This is a full-time position working onsite at the King Aerospace Home Office in Addison, TX.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    1. Administer and follow KAI proposal processes for assigned opportunities and tasks.
    2. Adherence to KAI Proposal Handbook guidelines is mandatory.
    3. Generate 100% compliant proposal volume outlines in accordance with (IAW) Solicitation Section L.
    4. Write and edit 100% compliant and compelling proposal material IAW Solicitation Sections C, L and M.
    5. Produce professional, high-quality proposal content and appearance.
    6. Maintain configuration control of all proposal files, forms, graphics, drafts, reviewers' comments and approvals on company SharePoint.
    7. Provide proposal inputs, reviews, problem identification and resolution.
    8. Ability to work independently and cooperatively with team members. Demonstrate the ability to plan and manage a proposal schedule.
    9. Conduct and participate in strategy sessions, color reviews and perform recoveries.
    10. Demonstrate full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    11. Adobe and graphics proficiency desired.

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a technical field and / or three years writing / editing experience in a professional position. Aviation industry experience preferred.

    LANGUAGE ABILITY:

    Proven ability to write clear, accurate technical documentation. Ability to proofread and edit reports. Effective verbal communication and presentation skills.

    MATH ABILITY:

    Ability to calculate simple mathematical problems.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Creative, problem-solving approach to projects.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    Microsoft office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
