As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting cloud-based solutions capable of scaling massively and operating seamlessly within the core infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience:
At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a track record of delivering robust solutions.
Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Go, Java, C#, Python, or backend Typescript.
You have demonstrated the ability to build and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on leading platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong understanding of relational data models including RDBMS/SQL, query optimization, and NoSQL databases.
Background in developing or architecting distributed software systems, utilizing message queues and scalable compute/storage.
Comfortable with Unit Testing and associated methodologies to ensure code quality.
Proven track record of building and maintaining data-intensive APIs using gRPC.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in Go, showcasing a deep understanding of its capabilities and best practices.
Experience with protocol buffers and a RESTful approach to API design.
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services and tools, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or Kubernetes.
Background in working with scientific datasets or applying quantitative science to real-world business challenges.
Exposure to scientific programming languages such as R, Python, or Julia, enhances your ability to tackle specialized tasks.
Pay:
$ $94 /hr.
