ROLE SUMMARY:

Exciting 12-week summer internship opportunity available at Crown's Martinsville, VA plant for students eager to gain practical experience in a manufacturing environment. Interns will play a vital role in working on essential projects that contribute to the daily operations, safety measures, product quality enhancements, and overall productivity. While there are no guarantees of permanent positions post-internship, the aim is to equip interns with the skills needed for potential full-time roles within the company.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INTERNSHIP:

• Engage in time studies, process evaluations, and training procedures
• Assist in identifying workforce training needs and support training program development

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Process, Production, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum GPA of 2.8
• Ability to commit to a 40-hour work week
• Willingness to relocate if necessary
• Knowledge of Lean/ 6-sigma concepts is advantageous
• Mechanical aptitude required
• Leadership background is beneficial
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Competency in data analysis and presentation
• Demonstrated maturity and high professionalism
